We began this fantastic day with a quickwrite:
"Write a letter to Mr. Rousseau explaining why you believe recess should be longer."

Afterwards, we did a close reading on the history of Valentine's Day, and then got into groups in order to pull from the article interesting/important facts:
We used out interesting facts to decorate our V-Day bags!

We also compared/contrasted the novel Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory with the 1971 cinematic version!
Near the end of the day, we passed out V-Day cards and had some epic Star Wars battles for Phys Ed!
