Spaghetti Pie

Howdy folks!

It was a pretty swell day back from the long and relaxing break!

We began the day off by going over the P.R.I.D.E rules of the classroom. Gotta refresh some of the protocols you know?

We then read The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith

And we did some opinion writing using the story! (RL.3.6 Distinguish their own point of view from that of the narrator or those of the characters W.3.1 Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons)

For math we began to delve into plane shapes! (3.G.A.1 Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories)

Click for some info on triangles!
And when we had a chance, we wrote about our break!

We also talked about field trips, a book report, and how we gearing up and using the rest of this school year to prepare for fourth grade!

We're going to watch the Snow Queen next week!
An example of the Ramona report covers!
That about does it! Cheers y'all!
