Cheez-Its

Howdy there folks!

Hmmm...let's see what we did today:

We reread Mulan and began making inferences using evidence from the story. We also used context clues to make meaning of words we did not know, and wrote these words into our vocab book:

We also worked on perimeter today; it got a bit more challenging today as we measured the biggest table in our class in feet and inches. Some of us were able to convert 12 inches into a foot, which changed our answers slightly. We also had to figure out the measurement of each side of a rectangle if a perimeter was given, and that was another challenge we took head on!

Click on me for a video on why perimeter is important!
We also read a portion of Boy: Tales of Childhood; the excerpt we read was about Roald Dahl's experience of having his adenoids removed without anesthetics when he was a little boy. Ahhhh!

Here's some more info on adenoids, just in case your child was wondering!

We quickly looked at our science textbooks today, and discussed what text features were and how they help us better understand the content. We'll be delving more into science tomorrow!

That about does it for the today! Cheers
