In the morning we had a math Brainstart:
While others were working on the Brainstart, a few of us got a chance to go over the math assessment from yesterday:
Afterwards, we had Writer's Workshop! We brainstormed a small moment, and then we begin to write in a most furious manner, making sure we had strong leads and pumped up our details in order to have the reader make a mental movie in his/her mind when reading our true stories!

We had some across the disciplines action and combined Science and ELA together! We did a first viewing on a Brain Pop video dealing with Food Chains, and then we did a second viewing, focusing in on defining domain-specific words through the application of vocabulary frames.
Today for music we went over the musical tool, tone ladder, and discussed various notes on our tone ladder, and tried our hand at melodic notation:
Near the end of the day, we had a quick read-aloud, continuing Tommysaurus Rex and having an in depth conversation about one of the antagonists in the story.
