We started the day out with a mathematical Brainstart: Come up with as many ways can you get 37 using this number sentence, ___+___- ___= 37
During our ELA block, we read two more chapters of Sideway Stories From Wayside School, discussing the idiom, pulling your leg. After reading more about the character Kathy, we annotated important details that exemplified her personality. Then through the implementation of a multi-flow map, we used these annotations to discuss how one's perspective can cause negative effects on one's self.

We also had our first music class with Ms. Mia! We focused a lot today on thinking like a musician, as well as go over procedures in her classroom. We also brought up the concept of rhythm (a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound) and displayed our understanding of rhythm while utilizing Lummi sticks.
After lunch, we had time to eke out a word study session! We recognized that the the grapheme wa contains the /aw/ sound in it:
