In the morning, we continued our non-fiction reading by looking at photographs of Dia de los Muertos and reading the caption that explains more about the picture. The captions were a bit challenging to read for an average third grader, but I decided to have them go at it anyways. We did come back together as a class after collaborative groups to discuss the info we wrote down and to clarify what we read.

We spent the remainder of the day making our arrays, BUT many of us started to lose focus and started making mistakes on our arrays, so I figure we will redo the arrays this upcoming week, with a bit more scaffolding.
And that's the lowdown for this Friday! Have a wonderful weekend y'all, and I look forward to our parent/teacher conferences next week!
