Today was a magnificent day! We began by going through a lesson on subtraction through the zeros (e.g. 405 -123, 500 - 125) using manipulatives, and we continued to check our subtraction answers using addition! We worked in collaborative group using Guidance Counselor to help us be more effective working with one another! (NBT.A.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction SL.3.1 Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 3 topics and texts, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly SL.3.1b Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., gaining the floor in respectful ways, listening to others with care, speaking one at a time about the topics and texts under discussion SL.3.1c Ask questions to check understanding of information presented, stay on topic, and link their comments to the remarks of others)

After lunch, we used Science Spin to model how to find the main idea of a paragraph and look for details as evidence to support the main idea. (RI.3.2 Determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea)
And near the end of the day, we had P.E.! We played The Dark Forest again, and it was a blast!
