Green Panang Curry

Howdy folks!

What a ridiculously hot day it was today! We spent most of the day working on our science biome projects! We took facts that we knew about our biome and turned it into something more than just a set of notes! The students had four project options to choose from!

Story:

I wanted to give students options because I wanted them to choose a project that would best display their understanding of biomes. I wasn't too surprised that no one chose to write a story. Go figure, right? Here are some some projects that were completed today!

We also had a math session today, but it was mostly me explaining how to play a game called Capture 5. This game has many directions and rules to it, so i went reaaaalllly slow in explaining how to play it. We will be playing it in groups tomorrow. This game will have us thinking critically about the numbers we add together in order to get to a specific sum. Challenging, but it'll very much worthwhile!

We also had a spelling pre-test, a boss game of Donkey Tail Grab during P.E. (in the sweltering heat!), and we read a chapter from Roald Dahl's The Witches (Ask your child about what happened to Bruno Jenkins)!

Here's another video on biomes, just in case you wanted to know more!

That's the roundup folks! Cheers
