Hot Pot!

Happy Monday Y'all!

We continued our sequencing of The Keeping Quilt; we're almost there to the finish line! Once we have our sequencing done, we can use that information to work on several projects on the "top secret" menu!

For Social Studies today, we got into groups of three and took apart a non-fiction text about the Ohlone people in order to summarize our section of the text and to look for important facts and details:

For math, we working on our number senses that will help us with place value and rounding in the near future! We played a game called Close to 100; The point of the  game is to combine any four number cards to get two numbers. The students try to make numbers that, when added, give you a total that is close to 100. We're going to be working more in depth on this one for sure!

We also did some other run-of-the-mill Monday stuff like taking a spelling pre-test, and partake in some good ol' physical education!
