Tortellini Salad

Happy Thursday y'all!

We began the day with a morning activity that'll take two days to complete; it's just a review of what we've been learning so far!

We then did a whole activity and reread the first half of The Waterfall. While doing this, we also did think-pair-share and listened actively to our peer's answer while he/she listened to ours. We then shared out with the class! We added a few more words to our vocab notebook as well!

Afterwards, we headed into the library to discuss how to find fiction and non-fiction books, and then we check out a book for the week! Mrs. Dahlin was a big help explaining that all fiction books are categorized by the author's last name, as well as make clear where to find chapter books, picture books, and informational books in the school library.

During math, we had a session on ordering numbers from least to greatest or from greatest to least. We put the numbers vertically, drew lines, and went from highest place value to evaluate the digits in that place value. We would move on to the next place value (column) if the digits were the same, and determined if we could order the numbers then. Sounds confusing, so here's a visual:

After lunch, a few of us shared out our writing assignment we had for homework!

Near the end of the day, I explained the math homework and answered any questions from students about the homework.

And throughout the day today, we read bits and pieces of The Witches!
Ask your child about Formula 86 Delayed Action Mousemaker!
And that's the lowdown folks!
